This wonderful new slow growing Arborvitae has already charmed us. The summer color is a vibrant chartreuse green color that blushed a brilliant orange in the frigid temperatures in wintertime. You can see in the main photo that it is returning to that wonderful lime-green color in the spring when the weather warms up.
Then in the fall, it will turn a purple color before it blushes back to that awesome orange. **NOTE that the winter's blush only happens in cold climates.
The narrow shape will grow into a gentle cone shape - a perfect anchor point for the miniature garden.
- Wonderful yellow / lime colors in the summer
- Upright narrow will turn into a conical shape
- Growth rate is 1" to 3" per year
- Grow in-ground or in a pot
- Cool sun to part shade
- Regular water with well drained soil
- Hardy to -30F or Zones 4 - 7
- Heat hardy zones 7 thru 1
- If in a pot, let dry out to barely damp in between to avoid over watering
- If in a pot, shelter from extreme hot sun in late afternoon in the summer
- Comes in a 4” pot
- An outdoor plant
