Taller 'Bedding' Plants

This section is especially for miniature gardeners. "Taller bedding plants" are what we call the ground covers or small-leafed perennials that grow more than 1" tall. Note that the flowers can add up to 3" in height during the flowering-period.

About Designing Miniature Gardens

Use taller ground covers as shrubs in your miniature garden design to help transition between your shrubs and low-growing ground covers. Layering the plants with different heights is one of the design points used to creates  "wall," or a backdrop, for your miniature scene and gives you a fun stage to play with throughout the seasons.
