Pre-Bonsai Trees & Shrubs

A lot of our true miniature and dwarf conifers can be grown to be excellent bonsai's on their own, with no special pruning to the roots nor the branches. We use our trees for the miniature garden because they already look like trees in miniature, as opposed to "rooted branches."

If you grow our trees and shrubs in a miniature garden setting, or in pot or in-ground, for a couple/few years before you bonsai it - you will have a stronger bonsai candidate to start with. It's the roots that will "grow the wood." All our trees and shrubs come very well rooted in 4" pots, from the US' top grower of conifers, Iseli Nursery.
