A tried and true favorite 'mini garden bedding plant.' This is a slow growing ground cover and a favorite for miniature gardening. It grows in a tight mat with tiny leaves that gently mound and spread.
Plant Elfin Thyme as an under-story plant for the miniature garden bed, in between pavers or as a lawn substitute.
This one can be trimmed into a very cute little hedge. It can be kept trimmed to follow along a pathway or at the edge of a miniature patio as well. For a more-natural look, trim it back from your wee patios or pathways by "feathering" the line of cut.
Hardy and winter-tough. Can withstand hard freezes easily. Doesn't like to stay wet or moist. Replace after about 3 years to keep it fresh.
*Flowers in mid-spring thru mid-summer, depending upon your region.
