Aurea Compact Canada Hemlock - Tsuga canadensis 'Aurea Compacta'

The Aurea Compacta Hemlock is new to our inventory and we're delighted to have this "gold" hemlock that is just a handsome little tree! There isn't too much information on this one yet so we're following what we already know about our other favorite Canada Hemlocks to be on the safe side.

The tiny leaves are greens and golds. The overall shape will grow into a broad pyramidal shape that will continue to enchant and delight. 

Keep this in a part-sun (cool sun spot) or part shade to help maintain evenly damp soil because you don't want the soil to dry out completely with any hemlock. Your pot should have drainage hole.

• Growth rate isn't certain - from 1" to 6" per year. 

• Cold hardy to Zones 5 to 7 or -20F
• Heat Zones 8 - 1

• Cool sun to part shade
• Regular water, don't let the soil dry out completely
