New! But we are already charmed! Also called Desert Moss or Mossy Sandwort, but Wallowa Mountains Sandwort certainly sounds much more official. (The Wallowa Mountains is a mountain range in Oregon.)
A great ground cover plant with tiny leaves and a tidy growing habit. Ideal for containers or grow it between rocks and crevices. This is a non-flowering type so it would be PERFECT for a miniature lawn.
It's drought tolerant but make sure it's established first by keeping an eye on it during its first full year in-ground. In containers, we're not sure how much drought it can take but make sure it dries out until barely damp in between watering sessions so you don't overwater it.
The bright green leaves look likes moss that is perfect for the "look" of moss for those in areas that where moss doesn't grow naturally.
