The Short Needle Mugo Pine is "thee" tiny quintessential alpine conifer which makes this the PERFECT miniature garden shrub. Extremely slow growing with unusually tiny needles that cover the very short branches. The buds in the winter add to the dynamic presence. Grows in a slightly irregular, miniature bun. Shear when it's young to make it bushier. Prune green branches during the new growth when it emerges in the springtime. OR leave it to grow up and it will become a lovely miniature pine tree.
