Koster Dwarf Hinoki Cypress - Chameacyparis obtusa 'Kosteri'

The Koster Dwarf Hinoki Cypress doesn't come up on the availability that often so we're glad to see this handsome specimen come back in stock. The rich green-colored foliage is cupped, or gently curved downward to lend a different texture to the miniature garden bed.

It'll stay a compact, rounded shape for several years before growing into a very tidy pyramid shape. It wears wonderful coloring against the reddish branches too. A handsome Hinoki. Blushes a bit bronze in the winter, called "winter blush," and will return the rich green color when the weather warms up in spring. 

• Growth Rate is 3" to 6" per year
• Growth shape is rounded when young, then grows in a tidy pyramid shape.
