Details

A favorite miniature garden plant - it is so cute! 'Jersey Jewel' is a smaller version of the well-known 'Dwarf Pagoda.' The densely set leaves are tapered to a point, and the green colored leaves are darker and richer. Irregular branching habit.

The tiny buds you see in the photos appear in mid-spring and bloom into the tiniest of flowers. Some of the flowers will turn to (inedible) berries for the summer.

  • Leaves are thick and pointed
  • Upright broad shape - eventually
  • Grows 2" to 4" per year, (we think it's slower.)
    • Hardy to cold zones 5-7, or to -20F
    • Heat hardy zones 7-5
    • Cool sun to part shade
    • Regular water
    • Fertilize lightly after 2 years if planted in a container
    • Comes in a 4” diameter pot
    • An outdoor plant

    From Treina in FL:

I got my order and have been constantly amazed.  It was packed tightly and securely and as soon as I let it breathe, so to speak, it began to spread and loosen up and show life.  It's a joy to watch. Thank you so much.  It more than met my expectations, it surpassed anything I thought I could get for that price.
