Mini Tsukumo Dwarf Sawara Cypress — Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Tsukumo'

A finely textured, soft green bun prized by bonsai artists and perfect for any kind of miniature landscape. Tolerates hotter, drier conditions than the Hinoki cypresses in this lineup — but don't let the soil dry out completely.

At 2", this is the perfect size to start an entirely tiny-scale garden of its own — or to tuck in as a smaller accent layer alongside our 4" trees, adding depth and variety to your design without crowding it.

• Light: Full or part sun
• Shape: Cute globe shape

• Growth rate: 1"–3" per year
• Cold hardy Zone 4–8 or -30°F
• Heat zones 8–1

This is a young plant and will need a little extra shelter from weather extremes while it gets established.

General Info:

• Spring/Fall Maintenance: Clean out the dead leaves inside the shrub when you see it. Called 'conifer dieback.'
• While they're young, avoid hot summer afternoon sun when planted in a container
• Let container soil dry out to barely damp in between watering

• Comes in a 2" pot
• An outdoor plant
