Golden Mop Threadbranch Cypress - Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Golden Mop'

The finely textured foliage of the Golden Mop Threadbranch Cypress develops vibrant gold growth in spring and retains its brilliance through the seasons - even where challenged by heat and humidity.

Partial shade will turn the yellow color to a bright green - see the photos below for the color changes! 

In full sun, it will wear the brightest yellow color. In the colder temps it will get a slight "winter's blush" of amber. It's a fun, colorful little shrub all year long.

It will grow up and out - into a globe shape. Trim any wayward branches if needed throughout the year. Shear the Golden Mop Cypress back a bit harder in late winter to keep it bushy.

Prune foliage only. Never cut into the branch as it will not come back.
