Mini Compact Fernleaf Cypress — Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Filicoides compacta'

A 2" starter size of a stunning, fern-textured gem — trim the bottom branches away for a mini tree look, or let it grow naturally for frond-like branches reaching skyward. An unusual Hinoki that adds a completely different texture to the mini landscape.

Shear the wayward branches in late winter to maintain the over-all shape and to keep it bushy. 

At 2", this is the perfect size to start an entirely tiny-scale garden of its own — or to tuck in as a smaller accent layer alongside our 4" trees, adding depth and variety to your design without crowding it.

• Spring/Fall Maintenance: Clean out the dead leaves inside the shrub when you see it. Called 'conifer dieback.'
