This garden nugget is a must-have for the conifer connoisseurs and for the mini gardener - it's the same shape as the huge, life-sized cypresses that we see in the our full-sized landscape that IS a miniature version!
Shelter this gem from the hot afternoon sun in the summertime. It's so slow-growing compact, it may burn if the soil is left dry too long. Cool, eastern sun is perfect, or shade the container with a larger container.
Clean out the "conifer dieback" every spring and fall or whenever you see the brown foliage inside the tree. The Gemstone branches are naturally tight, so this is important to keep on top of. Part the branches every-so often to check and remove any dead branches right away. Otherwise, a treat to grow!
