Cryptomerias, or Japanese cedars, are wonderful slow-growing miniature garden trees and a true pleasure to grow. This Birodo Japanese Cedar is a trouble free, no shear, evergreen globe-shaped dwarf conifer but we can enjoy it looking like a tree in miniature!

The summer colors are deep, rich and vibrant. The winter color will change to vibrant amber tones in the colder temperatures AND it's deer resistant!

Best in a partly shaded or cool-sun spot with evenly damp soil. The part shade will help keep the soil evenly damp. 

  • Growth: 1" to 3" per year
  • Globe shaped
  • Cold hardy Zones: 6-9 or to -10F
  • Heat Zones: 9-4
  • Cool full sun to part sun
  • Regular water, do not let the soil dry out completely
  • Protect from drying winds
  • An outdoor plant
  • Pot is 4" wide
