A darling little shrub for the miniature garden that has been trained "on standard," which means that tall trunk. Cotoneasters are a great tree for topiary and don't mind being pruned at any time. Keep the pompom on top trimmed in a ball shape, or train it to create a canopy that mimics a weeping tree.
If you don't want to keep trimming it, it will grow its branches down to the ground and look to root and spread like the "ground cover" it is.
Compared to other Cotoneasters in our inventory, this Coral Beauty variety has a more compact growth habit, shinier leaves and more berries.
Easy Pruning/Maintenance: Trim wayward branches or any branch that is growing downwards at anytime. Pinch-off any new growth along the trunk.
