Gimborn Beauty Hinoki Cypress - Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Gimborn Beauty'

The photos show a little winter blush on the juvenile foliage: subtle purples and gray-greens on the reddish-brown stems. As the Gimborn Beauty grows up, it will produce graceful spreading branches typical of adult Hinoki cypress that combined with the young foliage, will create a very unique texture.

This one is a little faster growing but with the occasional pruning to encourage that juvenile/adult foliage combination, we can slow down the growth rate for our miniature gardens. (Prune in mid to late winter.)
