Geisha Japanese Holly - Ilex crenata 'Geisha'

Regular price $24.99

We have been waiting for this miniature garden gem to go into production and here it is! The Geisha Japanese Holly is a VERY slow grower with tiny leaves that are perfect for the smallest of miniature gardens. Evergreen through the winter, small flowers in the springtime turn into berries for the summer.

We found that the more sun the Japanese Hollies received, the more flowers and berries they produce - but never let the soil dry out completely. Plant it in part shade to help maintain the even-dampness of the soil - or keep your container in part shade or cool, eastern sun.

  • Tiny leaves are concave
  • Grows 1/2" to 1" per year
  • Produces tiny white flowers in the summer
  • Can be pruned
  • Growth rate: Less than 1"/yr
  • Zones 5 - 7 or hardy to -20F
  • Heat zones 7 - 5
  • Full sun to part shade
  • Regular water
  • Fertilize after 2 years if planted in a container
