Thyme Leaf Cotoneaster Pre-Bonsai - Cotoneaster microphylla 'Thymifolius'

Regular price $24.99

A darling little shrub for the miniature garden, fairy garden or bonsai. It is highly coveted as a tree for the miniature garden because the foliage is in-scale AND the pretty spring flowers turn into berries for the summer.

These trees have been trained as "pre-bonsai." You can either keep training it the same way, or gradually redirect the canopy how you see fit. Either way, you have a nice little trunk to start off with, just keep it cleared of any new growth by pinching any new leaves off whenever you see them.

Spring flowers turn into berries for the summer.

  • White or pinkish flowers in the summer followed by red inedible berries
  • Trees are 4" to 5" tall in 4" pots
  • Great for in-ground or containers
  • Also known as 'Thyminifolia'
